Why Rehab Exercises

Move better, feel better: The power of rehabilitation therapy at PhysioDNA

At Physio DNA, we believe in the power of movement as a remedy to heal and prevent injury. Our team delivers high quality, rehabilitation exercises that take into consideration your physical capabilities, injuries, goals and motivations. Our exercise therapists are highly specialized in understanding both the anatomy and exercise physiology of the body. They specialize in the areas of human kinetics and health promotion. Our exercise programs are personalized based on your assessment with a physiotherapist to help you regain strength, improve mobility, and get you back to doing the things you love.

Rehabilitation therapy sessions at PhysioDNA go beyond a typical gym workout and will address your specific areas of muscle tension and muscle weakness to help you recover from an injury, prevent further injuries, and ultimately help you achieve your fitness goals.

How can rehabilitation therapy sessions help you?

  • Improve strength and stability: addressing specific muscle groups and areas of weakness can improve your ability to complete functional activities in your day to day life.
  • Improve balance and coordination: targeted exercises aimed to improve core strength, glute stability, and your vestibular and proprioceptive systems can improve your performance in active endeavours and reduce the risk of falls and injury.
  • Increase flexibility and range of motion: guiding you through gentle stretches and mobility exercises can address restrictions to allow you to move with ease.
  • Reduce pain and inflammation: getting you moving will increase blood flow and promote healing in injured areas by targeting pain areas
  • Promote your mental health and well-being: exercise can boost your energy levels, improve your sleep, improve your mood, and encourage you to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Our team of experienced exercise therapists will work closely with you to develop a customized program based on your:

FAQs

  • How often should I perform rehab exercises to see improvement?

Every day. You can perform certain exercises on a daily basis, particularly those that target flexibility, mild stretching, and basic mobility. Perform rehabilitation therapy at least four or five times a week for a balanced approach to slowly increase your strength, flexibility, and balance.

  • Can rehab exercises help prevent future injuries?

Our rehabilitation therapy program includes balancing exercises that not only enhance coordination and increase stability but also lower the chance of falls and other accidents. Exercise therapy is quite important, especially when treating injuries to the spine and lower extremities.

  • Are rehab exercises tailored to individual needs at PhysioDNA?

Yes. Our rehabilitation therapy programs are tailored to each individual’s physical requirements. Whether it is a minor fracture or a major injury, we make sure that each exercise recommended to our patients can help them recover and get back on their feet as quickly as possible and at their best.

  • How long does it take to regain full strength through rehab exercises?

Rehabilitation therapy exercises usually take weeks to months to fully restore strength, depending on the severity of the injury and the patient’s constancy in the program.

  • Can I do rehab exercises at home, or do I need to visit the clinic?

Most doctors very much recommend rehabilitation physiotherapy for both healing and improving your physical health. For a customized treatment plan, seeing a physiotherapist is necessary. Still, you may also be able to practise a variety of exercises at home once your therapist advises you that you are ready for more movement.
